Mentoring has become a very important way for me to engage with people in a meaning full way.

I'm Mentor Mark with the Bridging Program; 15 high school students with disabilities that I engage with monthly around the issues of identity and creating a meaningful life.

I met every other week with 14-year old Rowan Riggs. He also has autism and types to communicate.  We're presenting at a conference called 'Innovations in Education' in Atlanta in March.  It’s called How to Develop Respect for Our Intelligence So the Monkey Trainings Dissolve into the History Books.

I Skype with a young man who lives in Indianapolis. We talk about our hopes and dreams.

My mentoring work is supported by Green Mountain Self Advocates.
